MITIE plc choose BT & Kirona for their FM engineers

MITIE, a FTSE 250 company and one of the largest facilities, properties and asset management companies in the UK, is improving its service with Kirona’s Mobile Service & Repair for their Facilities Management engineers.

Kirona’s solution integrates into MITIE’s existing back-office system in order to provide jobs information to a 250 strong facilities management team, wirelessly, via their PDA devices.

The mobile solution supports both planned and reactive work. Operatives have day-to-day work schedules, but they can also deal with high priority jobs which are in danger of overrunning SLAs sent to them whilst they are “in the field”. As the office has the GPS co-ordinates of workers, any reactive jobs allocated in this way can be done to the nearest worker, therefore minimising service disruption and increasing response times.

The solution also enables workers to capture job data and update the back-office system in real-time. This includes enhanced functionality such as recording parts and materials used, job fulfilment, signature capture, and integration into Oracle Financials.
