'Motile' Housing Contractors

The Kirona 'Motile' Housing Contractors module has been developed to provide the repairs service delivery arm of housing authorities with functionality that allows for the effective appointing of work, the management of the delivery of this work and, amongst other items, the management of the organisation’s repairs stores. This new module also provides the management of mobile operatives with a fully up-to-date view of the current status of each operative’s shift and each job’s progression.

The application In summary:

The Kirona Housing Contractors suite contains a Personnel module; this is a repository for the repairs and stores operatives who are employed by the organisation. There is a requirement for Repairs operatives to provide details, via their wireless mobile device, of: the actual start and end of their shift; the actual start and end of their breaks; periods of unavailability.

The Kirona Housing Contractors suite is tightly integrated with the Kirona Housing Repairs module. Operatives must be able to carry out such operations as creating and authorising Works Orders.

The Kirona Housing Contractors suite contains a Work Allocation module; this provides for the effective appointing of Works Orders at the point-in-time at which they are logged. Furthermore, this module provides for the management of the operatives as they carry out the work that has been appointed. Operatives may request this work (or be sent it) in the form of Job Tickets that are displayed on their mobile device; the operative may subsequently record their progress on the wireless mobile device, as they start travel, start and complete each Job, and subsequently complete the visit, such that this information is updated in Kirona Housing Contractors.

The Contractors suite contains a Stock Control module; this provides for the effective monitoring and tracking of stock levels in each of the organisation’s warehouses and vehicle stores. There is a requirement for Repairs/Stores Operatives to be able to record issues, returns and consumption of stock against a Job Ticket. In addition there is a requirement for Stores Operatives to be able to record stock take counts. In addition to recording quantities and products it is a requirement to be able to scan in product details via a barcode.
