Motile ASB/Inspect

Background 
Originally Kirona worked with Barnsley MBC on the development of a new real time mobile inspection system to meet a specific need in Bereavement Services. Funded by the ODPM’s Project NOMAD as a local e-gov proof of concept, the application enables inspectors to record the condition of cemetery headstones.

Generic Applications
Whilst specific to Bereavement Services, this system is configured to meet individual requirements such as the inspection of street lighting, trees, footpaths and highways. In addition a specific module was created to record anti social behaviour (ASB) at any location.

The drivers
Gershon efficiency targets focus on productive time, real time access to data and citizen access via the web.
This requires a generic system that enables officers to record assets and inspections out in the field. The RESPECT standards and HOUSEMARK benchmarking agendas provide a clear roadmap for best practice, with many RSL's and Local Government Organisations signing up to these standards.

Efficiency gains and Joined Up working driving community regeneration
We have a system that can quickly be implemented in a local authority and RSL setting. In particular the system is designed for collaborative working, where multiple organisations work together to share data and become the 'eyes and ears' for each other. Proven and fully tested, yet fully customizable to meet your specific requirements. Savings of two hours per day in travelling time to the office have been measured from using the truly real time mobile system embedded at the heart of the solution.

Integration
Whilst legacy systems may exist for some areas, this implicit real-time mobile capability provides a new foundation for meeting the efficiency agenda running through all councils. The system has proven integration with other systems using the latest XML integration technologies.

CRM integration and other existing back office system integration e.g. housing, & public protection is available as a standard component of the solution, or equally it can be run as a standalone system with its own Oracle database. In addition it can either be provided on a low cost hosted subscription basis or installed on customer equipment at their offices.

It is Kirona’s intention to continue to extend the range of functionality within Kirona ASB system to match the evolving landscape of social issues that contribute to the complex area of ASB. In particular we are committed to complying with the RESPECT standards and HOUSEMARK benchmarking.

Low cost pilots available
Customers can use the system on a subscription basis using hosted database and intelligent mobile software. Any number of operatives can record critical data in real time from any device, either supplied by the client or Kirona. The data is stored securely in our hosted database where management reports and queries can be supplied on regular and ad-hoc basis.
