Overview of the Product
As with many areas of the Public Sector, Social Services are being encouraged to offer an improved service to the community. At the heart of the transformation drive are policies and guidance from central government and the Department of Health, such as Care Services Efficiency Delivery (CSED) workstreams and frameworks like Putting People First. These policies are challenging Social Services to work in a more efficient manner with a customer centric focus on service.
In order to help social services manage the burden placed upon it, Kirona has developed the Intelligent Mobile [Motile] Social Care Solution. A solution which has been developed in conjunction with local authority social services to ensure it fully meets requirements.

- Full Case Details from any Location
- Mobile workers can view full case details from anywhere at anytime as the information is pulled directly from the back office to their mobile device in real-time. The displayed information includes full contact history (including visit reports), pending visits, full contact details and any other relevant pieces of information.
- Simple Assessments using Scripted Questions
- Kirona's Intelligent Scripts are a generic question based interface which guides users through any relevant process. They are used in the social care solution for Financial, Risk, Single and Contact Assessments. The scripts are simple to use, easy to learn, make the assessment process quicker and allow it to be uploaded to the office in real-time.
- Intelligent Mobile Dashboard (Virtual Whiteboard)

The Intelligent Mobile Dashboard allows workers to log their whereabouts and current cases, therefore enabling an authority to electronically monitor when a care worker arrives and departs form a service user’s home. Dashboard gives the service greater transparency and replaces time and labour intensive paper based practices with an efficient electronic equivalent.

Safeguard - Lone Worker Safety (Optional)

Safeguard provides a panic buttons and expiry timers to the mobile worker, ensuring that they can alert colleagues if they are in danger or at risk at the touch of a button.

Visit Scheduler (Optional)

Kirona’s Visit Scheduler integrates with the back office CRM system and automatically allocates Social/Care Workers visits to citizens based on the worker’s skills, regions, service levels, commitment constraints, etc.

Outcomes
- Significant reductions in travelling time and costs as workers do not have to travel to the office in the mornings for job sheets, or travel to the office to update information
- Assessments can be carried out anywhere e.g. in a client's home, at the hospital, making it easier to focus the service around the customers needs
- As mobile workers have access to back office information through their mobile device, more cases can be completed in just one visit
- There is the ability to significantly reduce accommadation space, due to the options of hot desking and working from home. The removal of the paper based job sheets also frees up space required for paper storage.
- There is a maximisation of client facing time by reducing the administration burden placed on workers
- The accuracy of data is significantly enhanced as there is no longer the problem of misread handwriting, incomplete notes or lost paper work
