Motile Oracle e-Business Suite
In partnership with Oracle, Kirona have launched the Intelligent Mobile [MOTILE] applications for Oracle e-Business suite.
One of the large bottlenecks in electronic procurement is approvals. Often a requisition that has been raised and requires approval is not approved for several days. This is largely down to the fact that the approvers are busy people, often away from their desk for days on end and therefore rarely in a position where they can access the iProcurement system to view requisitions that require their urgent attention.
With Motile Procurement this never needs to be the case again. Motile Procurement will enable any approver with a mobile device (such as Blackberry, PDA, Smart Phone, Tablet PC) to view any requisition awaiting their approval.
Full details of the requisitions are available at the touch of a button and the approver has the ability to approve or reject the requisition direct, in real time from their mobile device. Rather than sitting down once a week at a desktop PC and having to trawl through requisition requests (that have built up over the previous few days) the approver can be notified in real time that a new requisition is awaiting their attention via email or SMS to their mobile device / mobile telephone. As a large majority of approvers already have Blackberry devices, rather than just sending an email to the device, Motile Procurement will actually push a new desktop icon to the approvers Blackberry device indicating that requisitions exist and require their attention. To view, approve or reject the requisition details the users just needs to click on the approvals icon (if they have a Blackberry) or click on the URL contained within the email notification.
