The ODPM's national mobile and flexible working project (NOMAD) awarded Barnsley MBC the funds to go out to tender for a Mobile Asset Inspection system. This system was to initially meet the legislative requirement to inspect and record cemetery headstone and memorials.

Kirona were awarded the project after a successful tender process and the system has been live and published its efficiency savings. Other authorities have taken advantage of the nominal fee to use the system on a hosted basis. The license has been paid for by the ODPM so all Local Authorities can use the system tailored to their needs for a small annual subscription.
